Cyclomethicone

This volatile, cyclic (circular) silicone fluid has lightning fast dry-time, making it the ideal carrier for fragrances because it instantly evaporates, leaving nothing behind but your chosen scent. Cyclomethicone will reduce the greasy feel of heavy emollients such as Shea Butter, makes an excellent emollient for "oil free" moisturizers, and offers light conditioning as well as improved dry and wet combout in hair care.

Dimethicone 1000

Dimethicone 1000 is a medium viscosity, light silicone oil, derived from sand and quartz.

Dimethicone, like most of the silicones used in personal care, provides a hydrophobic, protective but, breathable barrier to skin while improving the spreading of lotions and creams.

Dimethicone is commonly used to improve the slip and glide of bath and body products which provides an easy solution for heavier, tacky creams and lotions.

Dimethicone imparts softness, lubricity and emolliency to formulations as it reduces whitening, soaping and stickiness during rub-in.

Wacker-Belsil CM1000

A highly viscous blend of the quick spreading emollient Cyclopentasiloxane and the heavy weight conditioning agent Dimethicone. CM1000 makes serum formulation a snap, and can also be used in creams, lotions, ointments, hair conditioners and other types of products where skin/hair conditioning is desired.

Characteristics:: Wacker-Belsil® CM 1000 is a blend of cyclopentasiloxane and a high molecular silicone gum. Due to its composition, it combines the properties of the low viscosity, volatile fluid cyclopentasiloxane and the extremely high viscosity dimethiconol. The excellent spreading of cyclopentasiloxane allows a good distribution of the high viscosity conditioning agent dimethiconol.

Applications:: Wacker-Belsil CM 1000 is used in hair care and in skin care applications. Skin care and skin protection preparations containing Wacker-Belsil CM 1000 impart a pleasant, supple feel to skin; it eases the distribution of the formulations and improves skin elasticity. At the same time, it forms a water-resistant, but breathable protective barrier. This provides good substantivity and fixation of active ingredients. Use of Wacker-Belsil CM 1000 in hair care products yields sleek, shiny hair. Damaged hair regains a natural, healthy appearance. Wet and dry comb-ability are imrpoved, and further damage to the hair cuticle is prevented.

Characteristics:: Wacker-Belsil's RG 100 resin gel is an organosiloxane polymer dispersed in volatile siloxanes. It is a semisolid and semitransparent gel that functions as a thickener in formulations while delivering smooth application. Under shear stress, Wacker-Belsil RG 100 thins and allows easy incorporation of cosmetic ingredients, like pigments.

Wacker-Belsil DMC6038

Water Dispersible Dimethicone! DMC 6038 is a white waxy dimethicone with a very low melting point. It offers the formulator an opportunity to include the skin and hair conditioning benefits of dimethicone in products that do not contain oils or emulsifiers, such a spray detanglers, after-sun sprays, Aqueous serums, etc. 2-5% is all it takes.

Characteristics:: Wacker-Belsil® DMC 6038 is a wax-like, waterdispersible dimethicone copolyol that exhibits good compatibility with polar ingredients.

Applications:: Wacker-Belsil DMC 6038 is used in skin care and hair care formulations as well as in deodorants because of its good compatibility with other ingredients. Its low melting point improves the distribution of creams, lotions, deodorant sticks and roll-on deodorants. Wacker-Belsil DMC 6038 enhances the softening and moisturizing properties of the formulation.

Besides offering the possibility of formulating clear products, Wacker-Belsil DMC 6038 exerts a profoaming effect in shower gels and shampoos, and enhances the softness of skin and hair.

The first Decyl Glucoside is an all natural surfactant that works in combination with almost every other surfactant, regardless of it's charge character, and it offers high foam and gentle cleansing. Decyl Glucoside does not contain any impurities. Its chemical nature and the production process results in a surfactant without ethylene oxide, or 1,4-dioxane, and is suitable for baby, and pet, products. Second, Foaming Soy, is a surfactant with a protein base, like the Soy Proteins that we carry. It is like a two in one product. Plus it is a naturally derived product, making it a great addition to your natural products geared toward today's educated consumer.

Another great addition to our product offerings Hydroxy Lanolin, back by popular demand, is the simplest solution there is for excellent natural moisturization. Used since the beginning of time for healing dry, damaged, skin and improving smoothness for the glow of healthy skin. We used to be afraid of Lanolin, due to the sensitization potential, but can now use it without fear. Evaluated by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review Board Expert Panel and concluded to be safe for use in Personal Care and Cosmetics and conforming to the European Union animal-by-products legislation, we can now use this ingredient in those products designed for true moisturization. Excellent in shaving, hair, bath and body products, baby products.....and just about anything else that you can think of. It is compatible with almost all other ingredients used in formulation and will function as a co-emulsifier making it perfect for those, hard to stabilize high butter creams. You can also add that extra silkiness to your anhydrous scrubs, especially if you combine it with Calcium Stearoyl Lactylate, another of our food grade emulsifiers.
