*TEWL ... Trans Epidermal Water Loss which is responsible for the skins natural moisture barrier, which is exacerbated in certain skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, age or other damage, resulting in dry dehydrated skin.  Vaseline used to be the all time solution to slowing this water loss and improving the skin moisture barrier (which is what all emollients do) but, the Safflower Liposome, which is the plants means of carrying its oil and nutrients throughout the plant, beats Vaseline by 15X.
