Menthol Crystals has long been used to treat everything from stiff joints and sore muscles to respiratory congestion and insect bites and itching. It is a powerhouse for all of these conditions. Strong enough that no matter how congested, and stopped up you are, you will be able to breathe in Menthol. No matter how much those muscles are strained they will feel the cooling relief of Menthol. No matter how bad that bite itches it will be tapered by Menthol Crystals.
Extracted from Mentha arvensis (Cornmint AKA Japanese Mint), it has twice the effect of standard Mentha piperita (Peppermint), which does a pretty good job, as well. Both oils are, heavily, used in Aromatherapy to relieve the pain of minor cuts and scrapes, sore muscles and joints, upper and lower respiratory conditions and itching. Menthol Crystals is the reason that the oils do what they do. Keep in mind, though, that this is an extraction not tapered by the other constituents, of those oils, and should be used with even more caution than when using those oils. You'll not soon forget it if you're staring down into the bowl when you add even 0.5% Menthol Crystals as you will gasp and your eyes will tear.

GUIDELINES
- added to the oil phase
- do NOT stand above the vessel when adding menthol as the vapor is very strong and will sting the eyes and irritate the lungs
