Geranium Egyptian essential oil is one of the most commonly used essential oils. It is well known for its ability to tone the skin, and revitalize the complexion. There are a variety of Geranium essential oils: the Egyptian, which is sweeter in fragrance, and the Bourbon (from Reunion) which is a much greener fragrance. We prefer the Egyptian for its fragrance, as well as its, much, lower price point and similar chemical analysis.
Geranium Egyptian essential oil has just a slightly dry, green, fragrance that is deep and long lasting. Like Ylang Ylang It can help restore balance to combination skin types while revitalizing mature skin. In Aromatherapy Geranium is well known for its positive, calming, effect on the central nervous system where it can help to restore balance to an over stressed system and trigger the healing side. Some swear by it for headaches.
Geranium Egyptian essential oil is a great choice when you need to improve the staying power of your fragrance. Also a great choice to include in your rose blends, to bring down the cost, because the Geraniums are high in the Rose compounds and have a similar fragrance, at a fraction of the cost. They won't compare to the singular therapeutic activity of Rose Otto, but the can contribute to the Rose fragrance.
