Chamomile German Essential Oil is steam distilled from the flowers of wild crafted Matricaria recutita, also known as Chamomilla matricaria. Though the names are similar, the German variety is significantly different from the Chamomile Cape and Chamomile Roman essential oils. With the highest content of chamazulene, Chamomile German Essential Oil is the bluest of all the Chamomile's, and that higher content of chamazulene, makes it the most anti-inflammatory, for the same reason. Chamomile German Essential Oil is the only, of the Chamomile's, that contains alpha-bisabolol, one of nature's most powerful anti-inflammatory, soothing agents, actually used by many product lines, specifically, for it's anti-inflammatory activity.
Therapeutic Use: Chamomile German Essential Oil is one of the most soothing of essential oils. It is well known for it's soothing effect on all manner of inflammatory skin conditions. It's one of the first oils, reached for, in the treatment of rash, acne, and allergic reactions, which all respond well to it's soothing activity. In Aromatherapy it is also used for muscle spasms, and cramps.
Fragrance Impact: Chamomile German Essential Oil has a warm, somewhat sweet, herbaceous fragrance that blends well with almost any flower oils, most of the citrus oils, and all of the other herbal oils. The fragrance will give your products a warm, soothing, impact.
