It has become more and more important in today's market place to have your products be totally natural. You can no longer afford to ignore the importance of the fragrance in your natural products and we can no longer afford to ignore consumer needs and their demand for natural fragrance. Due to this increasing demand we started the "Natural Fragrance - Essential Oil" category. Over the last couple of months our Aromatherapist / Perfumers have been very busy creating special blends so that we don't ignore our customers and you don't have to ignore yours. We do, also, recognize the importance of the fragrance in your products and all of the approved essential oil blends will be created with three goals; first, to be created using only 100% pure therapeutic grade essential oils absolutes and Co2 extracts..second, to be created using the essential oils that are known to be safe for normal skin use unless otherwise indicated...and third, to be aromatically pleasant, distinct and to have mass market appeal. Last week, we launched over half a dozen new blends and now we at Ingredients To Die For are pleased to announce another half a dozen blends, and one straight oil.

As we are constantly trying to address the needs of our customers, and have had many requests for Lavender 40/42 we are pleased to make it available to those customers who are okay using this lavender in their products. We will not be using it in our blends, only because we don't want to challenge the label purity of our essential oil blends. There is a lot of controversy over this oil and many Aromatherapists would say that this is an adulterated essential oil, and we agree. It may be adulterated with a natural component, but it is still manipulated beyond the level of pure essential oils, so we want to be sure that everyone understands exactly what this oil is. Lavender 40/42 is a lavender essential oil but it has been enhanced with the aromatic compound, linalool. This is done to take the linalool level that is naturally present in lavender, at about 36% for high altitude varieties which are the sweetest, and is much lower for standard lavender essential oils, to a level of 40 to 42%, as the name indicates. The result is a lavender that is much sweeter and smoother than regular lavender essential oil, even the high altitude varieties, which are the sweetest in fragrance, will typically have only about 36% linalool.
